Double your Dollar Today
We are at the halfway point in our $30k in 30 days challenge. With your support, we have raised $4,698. We need your help to meet our goal of $30,000 by August 13, 2015. Your donations will be matched one-to-one up to $30,000 by a generous family. This is your chance to double the impact of your gift. Will you help us make this match?
This week we bring you the voices of survivors in Cascade of Voices. Kashmir Singh’s son, Harjit Singh, was just one of the thousands of people disappeared or unlawfully killed by Indian security forces between 1984 and 1995. Decades later, survivors are still speaking up for their children, husbands, and wives. Cascade of Voices showcases their determination to learn the true fate of their loved ones, as well as the continuing emotional and financial impact these abuses have had on families.
Kashmir Singh told us: “My case has been highlighted before, but I'm asking you to bring even more attention to it. So that the government hears our voices … I'm asking you to tell this story to the world.”
Help us continue our work to document disappearances and unlawful killings in Punjab. We have reached over 10,000 villages and have less than 2,000 left to go.
Thank you for joining us in the fight for human rights! Please donate today to double your donation and impact.
