Just this month, we learned that Ensaaf’s award-winning film The Last Killing was nominated for a Best of 2014 Award at NewFilmmakers Los Angeles film festival. The Last Killing brought the voices of police whistleblower Satwant Singh Manak and surviving family members to a diverse audience, educating them about gross human rights violations perpetrated by the government of India.

The wide acclaim the film has received demonstrates that Ensaaf’s work is making an impact. By reaching new audiences, Ensaaf builds the pressure of public opinion to challenge impunity in India and create a demand for justice.
