Dasvandh Week: Double your Donation to Ensaaf

(Pleasanton, CA)

Donate to Ensaaf during Dasvandh Week, from November 8 to November 14, 2014, and double your contribution. Dasvandh Network is a platform where donors and organizations can participate in the spirit of Dasvandh, the Sikh practice of contributing one-tenth of a person’s earnings to the common good of the community.

This year, Ensaaf is raising funds generally for the organization. The majority of Ensaaf’s expenses go to the Punjab Documentation Project, the largest initiative in the history of India to document disappearances and unlawful killings. This documentation process will establish the human toll of the violence in Punjab from 1984 to 1995 and will result in several thousand survivor interviews and photographs, and hundreds of hours of video footage. Donations will also support our multimedia and legal work.

About Dasvandh Network

“Dasvandh Week is meant to serve as an annual reminder that we all can and should be giving” said Manpreet Singh, Treasurer of the Dasvandh Network. “This year, we are calling upon our community to ask themselves, ’Can I do more?’”

Dasvandh Network is a not-for-profit, grassroots, crowd-funding platform that allows donors and causes to actively participate in the spirit of Dasvandh. Dasvandh Network is self-funded and doesn't charge administrative fees. Donations via paper check are sent without any fees to the designated organization/project. To pay third party payment processing providers, there is a 3.5% processing fee for credit/debit card transactions and $0.50 fee for ACH transactions. However, during Dasvandh Week, these processing fees will be waived, and 200% of donations will go to causes listed on the platform.

Thank you!
