Why I give to Ensaaf #GivingTuesday

On Giving Tuesday, join Ensaaf’s #WhyIGivetoEnsaaf campaign. Donate to Ensaaf to help us reach the remaining 1,000 villages in Punjab, take more stories to international platforms like Al Jazeera, and continue legal advocacy in India.

Why Prabhjot Ahluwalia Gives to Ensaaf

“Our history has to be preserved, so generations from now will know what happened. It’s also about giving voice to the voiceless. ” – Prabhjot Ahluwalia

"There are two reasons why I give to Ensaaf. Personally knowing the co-directors, their passion, their dedication, their resilience and their work is a big reason. Secondly, we have to make sure we collect this narrative. Otherwise, it won’t be preserved. Our history has to be preserved, so generations from now will know what happened. It’s also about giving voice to the voiceless. Even though we are part of the diaspora, we do care about what they went through, and we want to make sure their voices are preserved." - Prabhjot Ahluwalia

The Last Killing screened at Al Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival

Ensaaf’s documentary film The Last Killing screened on Saturday, Nov 28, 2015 at the 11th annual Al Jazeera International Documentary Festival. The festival was attended by participants from over 50 countries.

Satinder Kaur, Ensaaf's Multimedia Director says, “It was an honor to screen The Last Killing at the festival. It gave me a chance to discuss Punjab’s extrajudicial killings with a new audience. And it was wonderful to see that people found inspiration by Manak’s fight for justice.”

We make every dollar count. Give today so we can begin a new chapter of accountability in India.

Thank you!
