The time is now to support Ensaaf’s efforts to document every case of disappearance and unlawful killing in Punjab. We have reached 5,000 villages, but need to reach 7,000 more. Support us with a donation of $350 or more by December 31, 2013 and we will gift you with your own DVD of The Last Killing. The exclusive DVD, featuring an original music score, will be mailed to you in late January 2014, along with a special accompanying booklet detailing the cases covered in the movie.

Ensaaf is also organizing screenings of these movies around the U.S., Canada and England. Would you like to host a screening in your community? Please contact Ambri Pukhraj for details.

The Last Killing follows the story of Satwant Singh Manak, a former Punjab Police officer, who silently witnessed the torture and executions of 15 unarmed individuals at the hands of his fellow police officers. The injustice and brutality of the killing of Kulwant Singh, a teenager who had passed 10th grade, awakened Manak. He resigned from his job and filed a case against his fellow police officers. That case covers ten victims of unlawful killings.

Seeking Ensaaf highlights our work to end impunity and achieve justice for the gross human rights violations of the Decade of Disappearances in Punjab. It tells the story of three of Ensaaf’s fieldworkers as they work to document a case of unlawful killing.
