Why Christina Cusolito Will Appear for the Disappeared (5K Walk)

(Pleasanton, CA)

Dear Friends,

Continuing our series of what inspires people to support the work of Ensaaf, please watch this video interview of Ensaaf Office Manager Christina Cusolito. On behalf of all of us at Ensaaf, she asks you to Appear for the Disappeared on April 6, 2013 at Lake Elizabeth in Fremont, CA.

We are also thrilled to have supporters joining us in New York City and London! In both cities, a group of walkers will be walking for Appear for the Disappeared on April 6, 2013. All of us will be connected through Skype.

Start a walking group in YOUR city. Please encourage your friends and family to register for $25, set a fundraising goal, and create a fundraising page. You can join us as a virtual participant, as well.

A tip about donating to a fundraising page: If you are based outside the U.S., and have trouble donating to a fundraising page, please enter UNITED STATES as the Country and select any state. Then enter the rest of the information (card type, number, expiration date, your name, your street address and your zip code) as it is.

We are counting on you to help us commemorate 500 victims of disappearances through this event. Each registrant will receive a short bio of a person who was disappeared in Punjab by Indian security forces during the Decade of Disappearances.

Appear for the Disappeared will also feature live performances by Jagmeet 'Hoodini' Singh and Gunjiv 'Baagi' Singh, as well as a poster display of artwork based on the Decade of Disappearances. Come meet other individuals dedicated to the pursuit of justice for human rights abuses.
