If You Don't Help Tell Their Stories, Who Will?

(Pleasanton, CA)

Dear Supporter,

As an advocate of Ensaaf's human rights work, you are at the forefront of ending impunity and achieving justice for the thousands of survivor families living in Punjab today. You are part of a unique community of activists and supporters who refuse to let the truth go untold.

Without your support, the stories of survivor families will be swept under the rug. Stories like the unbelievable tragedy of a father whose son was unlawfully killed and illegally cremated by the police. As Baldev Singh told Ensaaf, he "saw the burning pyre and immediately recognized [his] son's body under a stack of firewood." These families must receive justice.

Ensaaf's work to end impunity and achieve justice for the mass atrocities committed by security forces in Punjab is recognized by prestigious international human rights organizations. With your support, we co-author reports and U.N. submissions with Physicians for Human Rights, Human Rights Watch, REDRESS and others. We also conduct unique and crucial documentation projects. With our data-driven and fact-based analysis of mass state crimes in India, we want to make justice for survivors undeniable and inevitable.

Despite the huge steps forward in our mission to get there, we need your help. Ensaaf wants to see justice in this lifetime. We believe it is possible. Documenting every abuse and collecting every survivor family's story is the best way to do it. It is your financial support that will help us. You are the one who can help shed light on the darkness. Please contribute now.

Thank you,

Sukhman Dhami
Co-Director

P.S. Don't forget to tell your friends and families about our "Decade of Disappearances" art contest. Check out our Facebook page for more information. Submissions are due by November 30th!
